Aided Teachers–Enhancement of obsequies (Funeral Charges) charges from Rs. 2,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- to the teaching and non-teaching staff of Private Aided Schools

Government have introduced a scheme under welfare measure for payment of obsequies charges to the nearest relative of Government employee or the person lawfully in possession of the body of the deceased Government employee to meet the expenses on obsequies ceremony and the amount sanctioned in this regard is being enhanced from time to time. Accordingly, in the reference 2nd read above, the amount of obsequies charges has been enhanced from Rs. 2,000/- to Rs.10,000/- to all categories of Government employees.
2. In the reference 3rd read above the Commissioner & Director of School Education, A.P., Hyderabad has requested the Government to extend the benefit of G.O. 2nd read above to the Aided Teaching and Non-teaching staff, who are working in private Aided schools.
3. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby extend the benefit by enhancing the obsequies charges from Rs. 2,000/- to Rs. 10,000/- to the Teaching and Non-teaching staff working in Private Aided Schools from the date of issue of orders.
