National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has issued notification for recruitment of the Diploma Trainees in Mechanical, Electrical, C&I and Civil disciplines at various locations of the India. Eligible Diploma candidates can apply online from 19-08-2013 to 10-09-2013.

Age Limit:
       Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 27 years as on 10-09-2013. For Land Outsees upper age limit is 35 years as on 10-09-2013.

Educational Qualification:
      Candidates should possess full time regular Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Instrumentation/ Electronics Engineering with minimum 70% marks.

Selection Process:
       Eligible candidates will have to undergo two hours objective type written examination / test. Based on the merit and requirement, the list of successful candidates for appearing in interview will be made available at www.ntpccareers.net and communication will be sent to such candidates. All such short listed candidates will have to appear for Personal Interview.

Registration Fee: 
       Candidates belonging to General/OBC category is required to pay a nonrefundable registration fee of Rs 300/- at State Bank of India, in a specially opened account number (A/C NO. 30987919993) at CAG branch (Branch Code: 09996), New Delhi, on behalf of NTPC. Candidate deposit the registration fee at nearby SBI branch with a printout of the “challan”/ “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application registration portal of NTPC. The SC/ ST/ PWD candidates need not to pay the registration fee.

How to Apply:
       Eligible candidates can apply through online registration system of NTPC only at the website www.ntpccareers.net from 10:00 hrs of 19-08-2013 to Midnight of 10-09-2013.

Instructions to Apply Online:
1. Before applying online candidates must have a valid email ID.
2. Log on to website www.ntpccareers.net
3.Click on ‘Diploma Trainees’–> download the Pay in Slip for deposit the application fee.
4. Pay the fee as mentioned above and collect the unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank.
5. After payment of the fee proceed to fill the registration form by entering in to the website. Select the region and discipline to which your are applying for.
6. Fill the online application with all the details and submit the application form.

Important Dates:
1. Commencement of online Registration of application by candidates:19-08-2013 (Monday) 10.00 Hrs
2. Last date for online registration of application by candidates: 10-09-2013(Tuesday) Midnight
3. Downloading of Admit card with Roll Number, test centre name and Guidelines: 05-11-2013 to 17-11-2013.
4. All India Test: 17-11-2013 (Sunday)
ABOUT WRITTEN TEST:
The All India Test is scheduled to be held on 17.11.2013 (Sunday). The test can be taken in Hindi or English. Candidates will have to give their choice for appearing in Hindi or English at the time of applying for the post, which cannot be changed subsequently. The test will be in two parts. Part-I will be Knowledge Test and will consist of 70 multiple-choice questions of respective discipline. Part-II will be Aptitude Test and will consist of 50 multiple-choice questions on English, Quantitative aptitude & Reasoning. 1/4th mark will be deducted for each wrong / multiple answered question.
