Army Welfare Educational Society (AWES) Teachers Recruitment 2013. The Army Welfare Educational Society Recruitment Notification for 1000 PGT, TGT, PRT Teacher Posts in AWES Schools for 2013 released. Eligible candidates should apply ONLINE from 23rd Sep to 21st Oct.There are approximately 7000 teachers on the rolls of the 133 Army Public Schools(APS) under AWES. Out of that, approximately 1000 get turned over every year. The Screening Exam will be conducted on 8th Dec 2013.

Details of AWES Teachers Recruitment for PGT, TGT, PRT Posts

                There are approximately 7000 teachers on the rolls of the 133 Army Public Schools(APS) under AWES. Out of that, approximately 1000 get turned over every year. The vacancies will be projected by the Schools  while advertising for holding interviews for selection of teachers at the beginning of the academic year. To qualify for interview, the candidates have to pass a Screening Examination which is held by HQ AWES centrally. The next exam will be held on 08 Dec 2013. "AWES" is running 133 Army Public Schools across the country which are all affiliated to CBSE. A List of  these schools available at the Bottom

Educational Qualifications:
PGT:  Post Graduation in the Concerned Subject +B.Ed (50% in Both)
TGT: Graduation in the Concerned Subject +B.Ed (50% in Both)
PRT: Graduation in the Concerned Subject +B.Ed (50% in Both)

Age: As on 01 April 2014:
(i) Fresh Candidates - Below 40 years, except for Delhi schools where TGT/PRT should be less than 29 years and PGT less than 35 years
(ii) Experienced Candidates- Below 57 years (Should have minimum 5 years teaching experience in the
Last 10 years)

Selection Procedure
Selection Process Will be done in two stages:-
(a) Stage 1. Screening Exam, conducted on the Second Sunday of every year, for vacancies that will arise during the ensuing academic year. This is conducted by HQ AWES centrally. In addition to fresh candidates, the following may also appear for the screening test:-
(i) Holders of Score Cards who want to improve their scores.
(ii) Those desirous of upgrading themselves. For E.g. a candidate holding score Card of TGT may now want to obtain a card for PGT, having acquired additional qualification.
(b) Stage II. Interview, Evaluation of Teaching skills and computer proficiency will be held under the aegis of HQ Commands for Schools under their jurisdiction. For Language teachers, written test comprising Essay/ Comprehension will be held along with evaluation of teaching skills.
Screening Exam - 2013
The Screening Exam for 2013 will be conducted on 8th Dec 2013 at all Major Cities in India.
Test will be conducted ON-LINE in the Objective type Multiple Choice Question format.

How to Apply and Exam Fees:
Exam Fee is Rs.600/-
Candidates are expected to register ON-LINE for the screening exam by logging onto website The registration portal will be open from 23 Sep 2013 to 21 Oct 2013. Candidates can register from 9AM on 23 Sep 13 to 5PM on 21 Oct 2013.

The procedure to be followed will be as under:-
Log onto the web-site and read the Instruction which will guide you to how to
register. Fill up the personal information or the application form.
  1. The system will then ask the candidates to pay the exam fee ON-LINE. Payment options are Debit/Credit Cards, net banking or electronic transfer through designated banks. A payment gateway has been integrated with the web-site for the purpose and candidates will be guided through the payment process.
After payment of fee, the candidates will be asked by the system to Attached following documents:-
  • (i) Photographs and signatures
  • (ii) Proof of date of birth
  • (iii) Certificates of academic qualifications.
  1. Once registration is completed, the candidates will get a confirmation that you have successfully registered yourself. Candidates will also be informed through e-mail and SMS regarding the same.
  2. A `Help Line’ will be available to the candidates to seek any assistance, till the conduct of the exam. A helpline tab will be available on the web-site .
  3. Candidates will also be given mock-tests ON-LINE to familiarize them with the exam procedure. A link for this will be available on the Registration Portal with effect from 22 October 2013
Past Years’ Question Papers Past five years’ question papers are available for which please send DD in
the name of Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) payable at Delhi along with your mailing address to Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), FDRC Building No 202, Shankar Vihar, Delhi Cantt – 110010. Costs of the papers are as under :-
(a) Part A - Rs 100/-
(b) Part B - Rs 100/-( specify subject)
