1.Plant Operator
Posts: 69
Qualifications: HSC (10+2) in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry and Maths subjects. 
2.Laboratory
Total Posts: 41 
Qualifications: HSC in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry, Maths and Biology subjects OR HSC (Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects)/SSC with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Laboratory. The ITI/NCVT qualification 
should be either of the following: 
  • 1) ITI/NCVT of 2 years duration or
  • 2) ITI of one-year duration plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course. 
3.Library Science
Posts: 04 
Qualifications: HSC in Science stream with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate and should have Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects (Certificate course in Library Science and experience in Library will be preferred at the discretion of this Research Centre). OR As indicated in Post No.4 to 15 in respect of Library trade certificate holder.

Qualifications for Sl.No.4 to Sl.No.15 Posts: 
  • HSC (Physics, Chemistry & Maths subjects)/SSC with a minimum 60 % marks in aggregate PLUS trade certificate in Chemical Plant Operator / Fitter / Mill Wright / Machinist/ Welder / Turner / A/C Mechanic / Instrumentation / Electrical/ Electronics/ Draughtsman (Mechanical)/ Lathe CNC operator 
The ITI/NCVT qualification should be either of the following: - 
        1) ITI/NCVT of 2 years duration OR
        2) ITI of one-year duration plus one year relevant experience after completion of the course.
GENERAL CONDITIONS AND OTHER DETAILS:
  • Total Duration of Training Period : Two years 
  • Stipend During Training : Rs.6200/- per month for the 1st year and Rs. 7200/- for the 2nd year. 
  • Application will be accepted On-Line ONLY. Facility for On-line application will be available from 17/08/2013 to 10/09/2013. 
  • Persons working under the Central / State Government, Public Sector Undertakings, Autonomous bodies should submit “NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE” at the time of interview.

AGE LIMIT: 18 years Minimum and 22 Years Maximum as on 10/09/2013
PHYSICAL STANDARDS : Minimum Height : 160 cms. Minimum weight : 45.5 Kg (Relaxable if the candidate is otherwise medically fit) 

WRITTEN EXAMINATION/SELECTION :
  • Written Examination of one-hour duration will be conducted and will comprise of objective (multiple) type questions. The syllabus for the said examination will be based on subjects at SSC/HSC/ITI level as the case may be.
  • Those candidates qualifying in the written Examination shall be short-listed for interview. 
  • Final selection and ranking will be on the basis of performance of the candidate in interview and no weightage will be given for marks scored in the written examination. The decision of this Research Centre in this regard is final.
SCOPE OF TRAINING :
  • Selected candidates will be given training at Tarapur / Mumbai & other places as decided by BARC in various aspects of relevant trades, as per prescribed syllabi of each trade and for meeting stringent requirements of BARC. The candidates will not have any choice/option for any particular training programme/training place. 
GRADE AFTER SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF TRAINING: Upon successful completion of training, trainees will be considered for absorption in the following grade at the time of appointment depending on their performance during the period of training and interview to be held at the end of the training.
